The DIFC LCIA Arbitration Centre operates under a three-tier structure, comprising the Board of Directors, the Secretariat, and the LCIA Arbitration Court.
The Board of Directors
The Arbitration Centre's operations are overseen by a Board of Directors, including prominent international arbitration practitioners. The Board is principally concerned with the operation and development of the centre's business.
The Secretariat
Headed by the Registrar, the DIFC LCIA Secretariat is responsible for the day-to-day administration of all disputes referred to the Arbitration Centre.
The LCIA Arbitration Court
The
LCIA Court is the final authority for the proper application of the DIFC
LCIA Arbitration Centre's rules and procedures. Key functions of the court include appointing tribunals, determining challenges to arbitrators, and controlling costs.
